In the final months of the project, all AISS partners ran local “piloting” sessions to test the full set of results in real course settings: the AI-based course chatbots, the Toolbox for Digital Transformation, and the Compendium of AI solutions. In total, 90 participants engaged with the pilots across the four universities.
Each partner embedded one redesigned 30–40 hour module on its learning platform and integrated a subject-specific chatbot. Pilots took place as follows:
Florida Universitària: Programming; KTU: Multimedia Technologies for Education; University of Bayreuth: Microcontrollers, andUPJP2: Business models in digital media. Activities combined independent practical work, documentation/reflection, and final presentations or demonstrations.
Feedback was strongly positive: students and staff reported time savings when retrieving key information, improved technical competence, and greater confidence using AI to support learning. Partners also identified valuable lessons—balancing AI support with independent problem-solving, refining chatbot training for complex tasks, and complementing AI with teacher-provided audiovisual resources. These insights will inform the finalization of AISS materials to maximize transparency, reliability, and pedagogical impact in Higher Education.
